Well, my Nikon is back in NYC for some more sensor cleaning. Hopefully, they will get it all this time, but in the meantime I have stumbled upon a creative outlet that will keep me busy well after the return of my work horse. IPhoneography is a total kick in the pants. It is such a unique feeling to be able to shoot an image and fully edited it while still surrounded by the initial inspiration. Will it replace my normal workflow? NEVER! But I see it holding a place in my creative process. As much as I try to carry my real camera everywhere I go it doesn’t always happen. The gear is cumbersome and not always appropriate. Mobile phones are also less obtrusive when it comes to candids or street photography. You can shoot a photo and for all the subject knows or cares you could just be checking a text. If you pull out the big guns in the same situation the attitude immediately changes to picture posing.
